Cougars

A very distant relation to the domestic cat but with similar hunting habits. The Cougar, or Mountain Lion is a nocturnal hunter. During the days they will lie in the shade and rest. The Cougar is the only animal in Northern America that will hunt and kill a human.

Their method of attack is simple, like the domestic cat. It will stalk it's prey crouched low down and usually from behind. When it is close enough it will take a couple of swift bounds and sink her teeth into your neck. Small animals have their necks broken at once, larger animals usually die of suffocation when their windpipe is crushed.

The howl you hear in the movies is usually reserved for females in heat, they are for the most part, silent killers.
